Known for his distinctive sound that fuses spiritual themes with vibrant African rhythms, Rays continues to break new ground in the music industry with this release.
God Did features five tracks, including “Congratulations,” “Happy Day,” “Testimony,” “Hallelujah,” and “Elshaddai,” each offering a unique mix of Afro-fusion beats and motivational reggae melodies. “This EP is about more than just music; it’s about sending a message of hope and resilience,” Rays explained. “I want people to feel uplifted and find strength in these songs, no matter what they’re going through.”
The new release comes after a series of successful projects by Johnson Rays, including his debut nine-track album, Belief, and the popular single “Motivate.” With God Did, Rays aims to continue his mission of spreading positivity, faith, and love through the universal language of music. “Music has always been a powerful tool for change, and with this EP, I hope to touch hearts and inspire people to believe in the possibilities life offers,” he said.
ODB Productions, the company behind the production of God Did, has been a strong supporter of Rays’s career. ODB, the founder, described Rays as “an exceptionally talented artist who has a rare ability to convey deep emotions through his music.” He continued, “Working on this EP with Johnson was a journey of creativity and passion. Released under Johnson Rays Entertainment Limited, a company founded by Akinniyi Oluwaseun Johnson alias Johnson Rays in 2023, God Did marks a significant milestone in the artist’s journey. “As an independent artist, releasing this EP under my own label has been an empowering experience,” Rays shared. “It allows me to have full creative control and connect more deeply with my audience.”
